
Prof. Dr. Ruzica Cacanoska has been employed at the Institute for Sociological, Political and Juridical Research (ISPJR) since 1987. She graduated in 1987 from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Skopje (UKIM). She completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade. She obtained her PhD at ISPJR with the thesis on “Protestantism in Macedonia.”
Cacanoska is a Full Professor and Scientific Advisor at ISPJR.
She has researched and written on topics in the fields of sociology of religion, sociology of morality, and methodology of social research.
She is the head of the postgraduate studies in Sociology – Management of Social Change at ISPJR. She teaches courses in General Sociology, Sociology of Religion (at the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Skopje), Methodology of Social Research, and Academic Writing.
She is the author of several scientific papers published both domestically and internationally. She is a member of the editorial boards of the journals “Occasional Papers on Religion in Eastern Europe” and “Teme.”
