
Prof. Dr. Pande Lazarevski (1960) – graduated in Political Science from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Belgrade (International Politics and Diplomacy) in 1984, and obtained a PhD in Political Science – Applied Politics from the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje in 1993. As a Fulbright Scholar (1995-1996), he undertook study visits at the University of Pittsburgh – Graduate School for Public and International Affairs (Public Policy-making), Johns Hopkins University – School of Advanced International Studies (Crisis Simulation), and Ohio State University – Mershon Center for Studies in International Security & Public Policy (Political Psychology).
Prof. Lazarovski served as Director of the Institute for Sociological, Political and Juridical Research at the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje (1999-2006) and was a member of the Accreditation Board for Higher Education in the Republic of Macedonia (2001-2003).
He has held various public functions both in the country and abroad: Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Romania and the Republic of Moldova (2013-2017), member of the National Security Council of the Republic of Macedonia (2009-2012), Chairperson of the European Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction (2010-2011), National Coordinator for the Implementation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction Platform (2010-2012), and Director of the Crisis Management Center at the Government of the Republic of Macedonia (2006-2010).
